When I ask this, I usually get very similar answers. Money. Time that belongs to me Being able to go where I want, when I want. Travel. Single life. No limits. There are no rules. Living life the way I want.
Let me shock you and say no. It's all the absence of compulsion. Between freedom and the absence of coercion lies a whole world. If you have no inner orientation, you wear your chains inside. Whether he has a lot of time or little, whether he has a lot or little money, doesn't change much. He will respond from one internal pressure to the next, no matter how empty his calendar is.
The true definition of freedom has little to do with external circumstances. She's hanging on to something much quieter. A man is free when he truly knows himself. When self-awareness and self-esteem live in him.
He understands himself. He knows both his strengths and his weaknesses. He sees the pattern he lives in his life. He knows his choices and why he loves certain people. Why he loves himself a certain way. He knows his history, his nature, his truth.
Which Pattern ? How you end up in relationships over and over again. How to belittle yourself when someone uses certain words. How you walk away in certain situations when you really want to stay. How you work for others before you even ask what you want for yourself.
And that changes a lot. Those who know themselves like that are less attracted to other people's thoughts, beliefs and values. Her feelings move him less. He doesn't need her approval anymore than the ground beneath his feet. He doesn't have to constantly justify his behavior and explain his decisions.
Other people can move him. They can't define him anymore. His freedom looks different then. She fits his life. To his story. To his nature. To his truth. To the truth of his soul.
And that's something you can't buy. This freedom arises when a person is willing to look at himself without giving the responsibility for it to anyone else.
Have a nice day 🤍
